Minecraft username: Tyrin239 Discord ID: Tyrin#7040 Timezone: EST Age (optional): 17 What is your preferred staff position?: Moderator How long have you been playing on Indigon?: Approx 4 months (since February 2020) What makes you qualified to be a Moderator on Indigon? (Previous experience moderating, character traits, etc.): While I have not been a mod on a Minecraft server before, I do have experience moderating discord servers and working as an intermediary between conflicting groups. I have been told by my friends that I am good at being an impartial third party during a conflict and I am able to come to a resolution within a short amount of time. I am also very focused on the future of Indigon and how to attract and keep new players on the server. I want to be able to make the Indigon experience easy to get into for new players. For example, I am able to teach the basics of every single element to new players. While I am not the best bender on the server I am familiar with each element’s basics of movement and combat. This is due in part to my past experience on bending servers. I used to play on Ophion between 2015 - Its shut down date. Since then, I took a break from bending for a few years until I found Indigon. My original element was Earth, but since then I have learned the basics for every other element. Overall, I believe that I am able to properly moderate players while creating a positive and inviting environment on the server. Why do you want this staff position?: I have heard that the server is expected to expand in the near future and I would like to be a part of Indigon’s future as a member of its staff team. I want to play a role in fostering a fun and exciting environment for Indigon’s players with many different community events and experiences (ex: the pro-bending arena that is currently in the works). What is one thing you would want to change about Indigon?: I want to make the Indigon experience more accessible to new players. This would be done by assisting new players in getting used to the bending in Minecraft along with the server itself. A way in which new players will become familiar with bending is through a tutorial system that will teach them about the basics of their chosen element. For example, the water benders will be run through how to use the baseline abilities along with the different techniques of waterbending (ex: Spout bending, Bottle bending, and Plant bending). I believe this is more interesting and exciting for new players because they will have an interactive experience instead of scrolling through commands to figure out their element. Moreover, my goal is to make a positive and inviting environment on the server that will encourage new players to join and stay. This will be done through limiting toxicity on the server and encouraging the players to have more positive interactions with each other (ex: encouraging the older players to mentor the newer ones in a positive way).
